I am highly skilled with Avid and Adobe Premiere, as well as After Effects and Photoshop.
I'm also an amateur photographer, and have been fortunate to take my hobby to several locations around the world. The Canadian Arctic was probably my favourite.
2012 - Present
BLUE ANT MEDIA
Recently wrapped the one-hour documentary: The Secret History of Knitting. Revealing the long history of knitting, for this show I combined documentary footage with graphics and animation to create an intriguing story.
In 2015 I completed work on 7 of 13 episodes of THE BIG FEED, one of the flagship series on the new channel Love Nature.
My work at Blue Ant Media has also included work on several new series for the new Love Nature channel including:
BABY ANIMALS, ATTACK AND DEFEND and STRANGE CREATURES.
Editing and creating motion graphics for 2 seasons of the 6-part series, COSMIC VISTAS, hosted by Ivan Semeniuk.
A PARK FOR ALL SEASONS, a 6-part nature series focusing on Canadian parks.
INFLUENCED, a music series featuring independent musicians.
BITE ON MONDO, a one-hour behind-the-scenes documentary about creating an animated series; and various other short form projects.
At Blue Ant I also edited, created animated graphics and managed delivery of media for 3D post production for the 6-part historical series FORGED IN FIRE: CANADA 1812, a co-production with Parks Canada marking the Bi-Centennial of war with the United States.
Working to create content for the Bell Corporate Agency, including on-air mass market commercials and corporate industrial videos.
Also working in various other departments including TSN, CTV, and DISCOVERY CHANNEL cutting features and promos.
2000 – 2012
As Senior Editor at Bradford Productions I was responsible for all content that the company produces, including MOTORING (2001-2012), ARGONAUTS THIS WEEK, CANADIAN POKER TOUR, TSN PROFILE and many others. From editing, to graphics, to online, I oversaw every step of every production, managing edit suites, freelance editors and delivery schedules.
TSN / DISCOVERY CHANNEL
1999 – 2000
As a contract editor I worked on many types of productions, from the daily science news program DAILY PLANET, to nearly every show that TSN produces. My responsibilities were mainly as an editor, cutting features and promos.
1997 – 1998
As Senior Editor at GPI corporation, I was responsible for the creation and delivery of 3 television series, all based around the travel/lifestyle genre, as well as various corporate communications work. The position required the management of 2 edit suites and several freelance editors.
TIER ONE COMMUNICATIONS
1994 – 1997
Immediately after graduating from Sheridan College, I began editing the daily Discovery Channel gardening series The GUERILLA GARDENER: 3 seasons and 260 episodes. I also co-created and produced the all female stand-up comedy series, SHE'S SO FUNNY, starring Mini Holmes. Along with all the broadcast television, there was a variety of corporate communications work.
